We have a bottle of Ayala Vintage 1923 Brut, a Roger Louis 1949 Brut and a Christian Brothers Champagne (yes it says champagne but no vintage year) all from the same collection and are curious of their value? Can you provide some assistance? Thanks for your help in advance.

Interestingly we noted this from some impartial observer but we don't know who he is or his specific experience:

"i have invested in fine wine in the past and currently still do , i am very happy with it and i have seen very good returns, but new world australian is the way forward as they have shown me a quicker turnaround than my old world wine investments

Australia is a tepid market overall - honestly i would try privately in Australia first and then a combination of live and internet auctions in NY depending on wines.

From a reader: I am a wine investor and currently my folio is made up of mostly Australian premium wines stored commercially in Sydney and London. Can you tell me how you believe you could sell at good value Australian wines and whether the HK auctions are a good vehicle. I can email my inventory if you require it.

I have an opportunity to purchase 3 bottles of Taittinger’s Artist Collection Series. 1983 Vasarely (’78 Brut), 1985 Arman (’81 Brut) and 1988 Silva
(’83 Brut).

I was wondering if anyone has had any of these and if you happen to have any tasting notes and/or thoughts on these particular champagnes.

Any input/insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm starting a small wine export business in Los Angeles. My buyer is my brother in Malaysia. We intent to work on small scale like 100 cases and some of these wines can buy from retails or winery. The question are can my company in Los Angeles act as a supplier? And what kind of export license would I have to apply?
